I hope you had a Wonderful Thanksgiving.
We went to my mother-in-law’s yesterday, we had a good time. ) I tried to get a family picture but it didn’t work out too well. ( My hubby and step-daughter were not too excited about getting their picture taken so they were not the most cooperative. I only got a few shots and they didn’t turn out. Guess my Christmas cards will have to go out without pictures again this year.

HELP!!!!

Friday Heather got her driver’s license! **SIGH** I’m happy for her, but I don’t think my heart can take it. I figured she would want to at least go to her friend’s house or something this weekend, nope. I think she is really nervous, but she wouldn’t admit it to save her life. Sunday we needed milk and Byron asked Heather if she wanted to go get some. She went to the Dollar General which is only about 10 minutes away, I thought I was going to have a heart attack! I was so nervous and tense until she got back. I’m just not ready for her to be driving yet! It will make things easier on me when she can drive herself to school instead of me taking her an picking her up (her school doesn’t have buses), but I think I would rather know she’s safe and keep driving her……..I know, I know, she’s growing up and we gotta let her.

This is my goofy step-daughter. Gotta love her! She fusses when I try to take her picture, but yet she will model for a hundred goofy ones. )
She is wearing a scarf that I started a year ago and finished through a challenge to finish something that you started making and never finished. It was not a very challenging project, but I tried to keep it realistic where I wouldn’t stress myself out getting it done. The shawl is one that I started for myself – my first time using a pattern – and decided to finish it for my mother-in-law for her birthday. She is so hard to buy for! She loves green and is very cold natured, something like this is right up her ally. We are going to frame the pictures of Heather “modeling” her shawl in some kind of collage to give with it. )
Saturday is my mommy’s birthday! She was going to come down to visit us, but Jake invited her and my step-dad to grandparents day on Monday. They usually stay the weekend and head back on Monday so it wouldn’t work. This is the first time he has asked them to go, so they are sooo excited! I’m sad they can’t come this weekend, but I would hate it for them and Jake if they missed Grandparent’s Day. She said they are going to try to come down soon though. )
